👋Hi! I am Yang Ye. I am an Associate Research Scientist at Yale Center for Infectious Disease Modeling and Analysis (CIDMA), directed by Prof. Alison Galvani. My research focuses on the socioeconomic dimensions of infectious disease epidemiology and public health. I use computational and data-driven methods to (i) investigate how human behavior, social structures, and economic factors influence infectious disease trajectories, and (ii) evaluate the public health and economic impacts of health policies, including vaccine and medication access, pharmaceutical pricing strategies, and healthcare delivery. My previous work has been published in reputable journals such as Nature Human Behaviour, Nature Communications, PNAS, and Proceedings of the Royal Society A, as well as featured in the press such as The Washington Post and The Guardian.
"The benefits of vaccinating the world are clear. The catch is the price tag." The Washington Post, 2022.02.
"World better protected against Covid if rich nations donated 50% of vaccines to low-income countries." The Guardian, 2022.02.
"COVID-19: 46% vaccine redistribution best for high- and low-income countries alike." Nature Asia and others, 2022.02.
